Installation and Deployment

Exclaimer Mail Archiver is very straightforward, using an installation wizard to copy required files and complete setup processes behind the scenes.

Having installed Exclaimer Mail Archiver for the first time, the first use wizard is launched automatically. The first use wizard takes you through the basic setup required to get started with Exclaimer Mail Archiver.

When installing Exclaimer Mail Archiver, the batch importer is installed at the same time (to be used for importing and archiving legacy emails).  

Having run the installation and first use wizards, required setup for journal mailboxes is typically completed automatically. However, there are occasions (for example, with more complex systems) where an administrator may need to check or complete this setup manually This process is described in the Manual Configuration & Setup of Journal Mailboxes section of this help.
